Counter cutting device and method of adjusting a cutting edge
The invention relates to a counter cutting device for a Häckselaggregat an agricultural machine and a method for adjusting a counter-blade of a Häckselaggregats with respect to a chopper drum.
Agricultural machines such as in particular forage harvesters may have a chopping unit, which is provided with a knife drum on which circumferentially fixed and thus rotating cutting blade with a stationary elongated and especially strip-shaped counter cutting edge. Crop material (such as corn plants) receiving an engagement region formed by a rotating cutterhead and counterblade is chopped by the interaction of the cutting blades attached to the rotating cutterhead with the counter cutter. The knife drum is therefore commonly referred to as a chopper drum. In order to be able to position the counterknife in the chopping unit, the counterknife is usually integrated in a counter-cutting device.
Such a counter cutter is e.g. from DE 35 35 902 C2 and has a support device with two connection units, which are arranged corresponding to the two opposite longitudinal ends of the counter-blade to connect the counter-blade at its two longitudinal ends with the support device. The support device is set up to position the counterblade connected to the support device at both longitudinal ends with respect to the chopper drum in the chopper unit. In order to be able to change a position of the counterknife with respect to the chopper drum by linear movement, the two outer connecting units are arranged to provide a connection for the connection, which can be selectively released and restored.
The problem with such a conventional counter-cutting device, however, may be that the counter-blade connected only at its two longitudinal ends with the support device in the Häckselprozess between the longitudinal ends swing up and then possibly could collide with the cutting blades of the cutterhead. This can lead to premature failure or destruction of the counter blade and / or the cutting blade.
One way of understanding the position of a counter-blade by means of a pivot axis pivoting the counter-blade is described for example in DE 196 52 656 A1.
The invention has for its object to provide a counter-cutting device for a Häckselaggregat an agricultural machine, in which the counter-blade is better protected against swinging in Häckselprozess. The invention is also based on the object of providing a method for setting a counter-blade of a chopper unit with respect to a chopper drum thereof.
The o.g. Problems are solved with a counter cutting device according to claim 1 and with a method according to claim Q, respectively. Further developments of the invention are defined in the respective dependent claims.
According to the invention, there is provided a counter cutting device for a chopping unit of an agricultural machine. The counter-cutting device has an elongated, in particular strip-shaped, counter-blade for interacting with cutting blades arranged circumferentially on a chopper drum of the chopper unit, and a carrying device for positioning the counterknife in the chopper unit. Under "for in the chopping unit positioning the counter-blade" is understood according to the invention, both the fixed positioning of the counter-blade as well as changing a position of the counter-blade.
The support device has two connection units which are arranged respectively adjacent to two opposite longitudinal ends of the counter-blade to connect the counter-blade at or adjacent to its two longitudinal ends with the support device. The support device is set up to position the counterknife connected to the support device at both longitudinal ends with respect to the chopper drum.
The counter-cutting device according to the invention is characterized in that the carrying device has a clamping unit, which is arranged between the two corresponding to the longitudinal ends of the counter-blade connection units to connect the counter-blade at a position between their longitudinal ends by clamping with the support device.
Characterized in that according to the invention between the two outer connection units additionally the clamping unit is provided, the counter-blade can be kept in Häckselprozess at a further position and is thus better protected against swinging.
Preferably, the clamping unit is arranged at a Mitteiposition between the longitudinal ends of the counter-blade to connect the counter-blade at this central position clamped with the support device. By providing the clamping unit at the center position, the swinging up of the counterknife in the chopping process can be prevented even better.
According to one embodiment of the counter cutting device according to the invention, the clamping unit is provided for producing a clamping connection of the counter cutting edge with clamping means and for releasing the clamping connection of the counter cutting edge with release means. To provide a respective actuating force for producing the clamping connection or releasing the clamping connection, the clamping means and the release means each have a hydraulic cylinder arrangement comprising at least one hydraulic cylinder and / or a spring arrangement comprising at least one spring and / or a piezoelement arrangement comprising at least one piezoelement.
In other words, according to the invention, a clamping force and a releasing force are respectively generated by at least one of a hydraulic pressure, a spring force, and a piezoelectric element deformation caused by electric current.
These types of generation of the clamping force and the release force can be particularly easily and advantageously integrated into an agricultural work machine, as these usually already has a hydraulic system and an electrical system and feathers have the robustness required just for the Feideinsatz.
According to one embodiment of the counter-cutting device according to the invention, the carrying device has a base element for stationary arrangement in the chopping unit and a counter-cutting carrier for fastening receiving the counter-cutting edge. The counter-cutting carrier is movably mounted on the base element in order to enable a radial towards the chopper drum and from this displacement of the counter-blade received on the counter-cutter carrier.
According to a further embodiment of the counter-cutting device according to the invention, the counter-cutting carrier is pivotally mounted on the base member to allow the radial displacement of the counter-blade. The counter-blade is preferably fastened by means of the two connecting units corresponding to the longitudinal ends of the counter-blade on the counter-cutting carrier.
According to yet another embodiment of the counter-cutting device according to the invention, the counter-cutting carrier is displaceably mounted on the base element along a plane in order to enable the radial adjustment of the counter-cutting edge. The counter-blade carrier with attached counter-blade is preferably clamped by means of the corresponding to the longitudinal ends of the counter-blade two connection units with a predetermined clamping force on the base member that overcoming the clamping force displacement of the counter-blade carrier along the plane and thus the radial displacement of the counter-blade is possible.
According to one embodiment of the counter cutting device according to the invention, the clamping unit has a clamping plate, a tie rod, first coupling means and second coupling means. The clamping plate is mounted longitudinally movably on the base element via a linear guide. The clamping means are in operative connection with the clamping plate in order to drive the clamping plate by means of its actuating force in a first direction of movement in the linear bearing. The release means are operatively connected to the clamping plate to drive the clamping plate by means of its force in a direction opposite to the first direction of movement second direction of movement in the linear bearing.
The first coupling means are adapted to couple the clamping plate when moving in the first direction of movement with the pull rod to drive the pull rod in the first direction of movement. The second coupling means are arranged to couple the pull rod with the counter blade when moving in the first direction of movement to pull the counter blade in the first direction of movement and thereby to clampingly connect the counter blade at the position between its longitudinal ends with the support device.
According to yet another embodiment of the counter-cutting device according to the invention, the clamping plate is mounted on the base member in the linear guide so that it is movable towards and away from the counter-cutting support. The clamping plate has a first through-hole which extends in the direction of the linear guide from a first surface facing the counter-cutting carrier to a second surface of the clamping plate facing away from the counter-cutting carrier.
The counter-cutter carrier has a second through hole aligned with the first through hole, and the counter cutter has a mounting hole aligned with the second through hole.
The pull rod is movably passed through the first and second through holes, so that for the realization of the second coupling means, a first longitudinal end portion of the pull rod is fixed in the mounting hole and a first longitudinal end portion opposite second longitudinal end portion of the pull rod protrudes from the second face of the clamping plate with a head part. The head part provides for the realization of the first coupling means a stop of the pull rod on the side of the second surface on the clamping plate.
The clamping means are arranged on the base element so that their actuating force on the side of the first surface on the clamping plate can be applied and thereby the clamping plate along the linear guide from the counter-blade carrier is movable away. By moving away from the counter cutter carrier of the clamping plate, the counter-blade and the counter-cutting carrier are clamped by a tensile force of the tie rod on the base member.
The release means are arranged on the base member so that their restoring force can be applied on the side of the second surface to the clamping plate and thereby the clamping plate along the linear guide to the counter-blade carrier is movable. According to the invention there is also provided a chopping unit comprising a rotatably mounted chopper drum having cutting blades circumferentially disposed thereon, and a counter cutting device according to one, several or all previously described embodiments of the invention in any conceivable combination.
According to the invention, there is also provided a method for adjusting a counterknife of a chopper unit with respect to a chopper drum thereof, in particular for setting a counterblade of a chopping unit by means of a countercutting device according to one, several or all previously described embodiments of the invention in any conceivable combination.
The method according to the invention has at least the steps of: detaching a clamping connection of the counter-cutting edge with a carrying device provided with respect to the chopper drum positioning the counter-cutting edge; Adjusting a position of the bedknife with respect to the cutterhead; and restoring the clamp connection of the counterknife with the support

According to a further embodiment of the method according to the invention, a respective clamping connection of the two opposite longitudinal ends of the counter-cutting edge with the carrying device is maintained with respect to the chopper drum adjusting the position of the counter-blade. In other words, the counter blade in the chopping process is three times, namely clamped at its longitudinal ends and in between, and is thus protected against swinging up. To adjust the clamping of the counter-blade between the longitudinal ends is released and the counter-blade can be adjusted by overcoming the clamping forces acting at their longitudinal ends.
According to yet another embodiment of the method according to the invention, the adjustment of the position of the counter-cutting edge is carried out by means of along a plane and in particular linear displacement of the counter-cutting edge.
The invention expressly extends to such embodiments, which are not given by combinations of features of explicit back references of the claims, whereby the disclosed features of the invention - as far as is technically feasible - can be combined with each other.

In the following, a chopping unit 1 according to an embodiment of the invention will be described with reference to FIGS. The chopping unit 1 is integrated into an agricultural working machine (not completely shown), in particular a forage harvester.
The chopper unit 1 has a drum housing 2, a chopper drum 3 (shown schematically in FIG. 1 with dashed lines), which is rotatably mounted about an axis of rotation A1 in the drum housing 2 and at the periphery a plurality of cutting blades 4 (in Fig. 1 schematically with dashed lines shown) are mounted, and a counter-cutting device 10 with a strip-shaped elongate counter-blade 11 for cooperation with the cutting blades 4.
The counter-cutting device 10 also has a support device 20 for the chopping unit 1 positioning the counter-blade 11. The carrying device 20 has a base element 21, which can also be labeled as anvil, and a strip-shaped elongate counter-cutting carrier 25. The base element 21 is arranged stationarily in the chopper unit 1 or the working machine. The counter-cutting carrier 25 is set up to fasten the counter-blade 11 and is movably mounted on the base element 21 in order to enable a radial movement towards and away from the chopping drum 3 of the counter-blade 11 accommodated on the counter-cutting carrier 25.
More specifically, an underside of the counter-blade carrier 25 and an upper surface of the base member 21 are adapted to define a sliding bearing 30 with guide units 30.1, 30.2 such that the counter-blade carrier 25 is linearly slidable along a plane radially toward and away from the chopper drum 3, to realize the radial displacement of the counter-blade 11.
The counter-blade 11 has two opposite longitudinal ends 11.1, 11.2 and is bolted to the counter-blade carrier 25 by means of two screws 12, 12 at its two longitudinal ends 11.1, 11.2 with the counter-cutting carrier 25.
The support device 20 also has two substantially identically formed connection units 40, 40, which are arranged corresponding to the two longitudinal ends 11.1, 11.2 of the counter-blade 11 in order to connect the counter-cutting support 25 at its two longitudinal ends with the support device 20. The support device 20 also has two substantially identically formed adjusting units 50, 50 which are adjacent to one of the two longitudinal ends 11.1, 11.2 of the counter-blade 11 coupled to the counter-blade carrier 25 to the displacement of the counter-blade carrier 25 and thus the radial adjustment of Power counter-blade 11. More precisely, the two connecting units 40, 40 corresponding to the longitudinal ends 11.1, 11.2 of the counter-blade 11 are each designed as a clamping unit according to this embodiment of the invention. Each of the two connecting units 40, 40 has a clamping screw 41, which is passed through respective through holes through a respective longitudinal end 25.1, 25.2 of the counter-blade carrier 25 and by a corresponding to the respective longitudinal end 25.1, 25.2 of the counter-blade carrier 25 clamping flange 21.1 and 21.2 of the base member 21 ,
Each of the two connecting units 40, 40 also has a tension spring 42, which is pushed onto the clamping screw 41 and on a head 41.1 of the clamping screw 41 and on the one side of the longitudinal end 25.1 of the counter-blade carrier 25 on the corresponding clamping flange 21.1 and on the other side of the other end 25.2 Counter-blade carrier 25 is supported at this longitudinal end 25.2 of the counter-blade carrier. The tension spring 42 is preferably designed as a plate spring.
At the head 41.1 of the clamping screw 41 opposite longitudinal end of the clamping screw 41, a clamping nut 43 is screwed at each of the two connecting units 40, 40. The clamping nut 43 is supported on the one longitudinal end 25.1 of the counter cutting carrier 25 at this longitudinal end 25.1 of the counter cutting carrier and is supported on the other longitudinal end 25.2 of the counter cutting carrier 25 on the corresponding clamping flange 21.2. The clamping force is dimensioned so that the counter-blade carrier 25 and thus the counter blade 11 for the chopping process safely positioned relative to the chopper drum 3, but overcoming the clamping force displacement of the counter-blade carrier 25 along the plane defined by the sliding bearing 30 and thus the radial adjustment of the Counter-blade 11 is still possible.
Each of the two adjusting units 50, 50 has an adjusting lever 51, which is mounted on a longitudinal end of the pivotable about a pivot axis A2 on the drum housing 2. The other longitudinal end of the adjusting lever 51 is threadedly attached thereto via a threaded nut 51.1 with a rotatably mounted on the drum housing 2 threaded rod 52 of the adjusting unit 50. The threaded rod 52 is connected on the output side at a longitudinal end of this with an angle gear 53 of the adjusting unit 50 on the output side. On the input side, the angle gear 53 is drive-connected with an electric motor 54 of the adjusting unit 50.
By operating the electric motor 54 thus the threaded rod 52 is drehan-driven, whereby the adjusting lever 51 by the threaded engagement of its threaded nut 51.1 about its pivot axis A2 on the drum housing 2 is ver-swiveled. The adjusting lever 51 is adjacent to its pivot axis A2 on the drum housing 2 via a coupling 55 (with a coupling lever, not shown) coupled to the respective corresponding longitudinal end 25.1, 25.2 of the counter-blade carrier 25. As a result, the adjusting movement of the adjusting lever 51 can be transferred to the counter-cutting carrier 25 by overcoming the clamping force of the respective associated connecting unit 40.
In order to avoid that the counter-blade 11 swings up in the middle in the chopping process, the carrying device 20 has a third clamping unit 60, which is arranged between the two connecting units 40, 40 corresponding to the longitudinal ends 11.1, 11.2 of the counter-blade 11, respectively. to connect the counter-blade 11 at a position between its longitudinal ends 11.1, 11.2, here in particular at a central position between the longitudinal ends 11.1, 11.2 of the counter-blade 11, clamping with the support device 20.
The central third clamping unit 60 has for producing a clamping connection of the counter-blade 11 with the support device 20 clamping means 65 and for releasing the clamping connection of the counter-blade release means 70.
In the present embodiment of the invention, the clamping means 65 for providing a force for establishing the clamping connection of the counter-blade 11 with the support device 20, a hydraulic cylinder assembly with here e.g. two equally acting hydraulic cylinders 66.
In addition, in the present embodiment of the invention, the release means 70 for providing a control force for releasing the clamping connection of the counter-blade 11 with the support device 20 have a spring arrangement with here e.g. two equally-acting coil springs 71 on.

The clamping plate 80 is mounted on the base member 21 in a linear guide, so that it is movable towards the counter-cutting carrier 25 / counter-blade 11 and away from it.
The clamping plate 80 has two corresponding to the guide pin 86 arranged guide holes (not separately designated) and is inserted with guided through the guide holes guide pin 86 in a recess in the base member 21. The recess in the base member 21 is dimensioned so that the clamping plate 80 along the length of the guide pin 86 (linear guide) by a predetermined amount to the counter-blade carrier 25 and away from it is movable.
The clamping plate 80 also has a through hole 81, which extends in the direction of the linear guide or in the longitudinal direction of the guide pin 86 from the counter-cutting carrier 25 facing first surface 80.1 of the clamping plate 80 to a counter-cutting carrier 25 facing away from the second surface 80.2 of the clamping plate 80. The through-hole 81 is designed as a slot, so that the pull rod 90 can be displaced into and out of the image plane. The pull rod 90 can thereby follow the adjustment of the counter-blade. For the central clamping unit 60, a through-hole 26 aligned with the through-hole 81 of the clamping plate 80 is provided in the counter-cutting carrier 25. In addition, for the central clamping unit 60 in the counter-blade 11 to the through hole 26 of the counter-blade carrier 25 aligned in the form of a threaded hole mounting hole 13 is provided.
The pull rod 90 is movably passed through the through holes 81, 26 of the clamping plate 80 and the counter-blade carrier 25 and through a correspondingly wide-dimensioned recess in the base member 21. A threaded first longitudinal end portion 91 of the drawbar 90 is secured in the mounting hole 13 of the counter-blade 11. In addition, a second longitudinal end section 92 of the pull rod 90 opposite the first longitudinal end section 91 projects from the second surface 80.2 of the clamping plate 80 with a head section 92.1.
The head part 92.1 of the second longitudinal end section 92 of the pull rod 90 provides an abutment on the intermediate surface of the second longitudinal end section 92 of the pull rod 90 on the side of the second surface 80.2 on the clamping plate 80 via an intermediate washer 93 for increasing the area. The washer 93 is inserted into the second surface 80.2 of the clamping plate 80, and the head part 92.1 of the tie rod 90 is movably received in a bore (not separately referred to) in the retaining plate 85.

Thus, the clamping connection between the counter-blade 11 and the base member 21 of the support device 20 is released.
Now, by operating the adjusting units 50, 50 of the counter-cutting carrier 25 and thus the counter blade 11 overcoming the clamping force of the connecting units 40, 40 via the slide bearing 30 along the slip plane defined thereby linearly in the radial direction to the cutterhead 3 and are shifted away from this to realize the radial displacement of the counter-blade 11.
From the above description, it is also possible to derive a method according to the invention for setting a counter cutting edge of a chopper unit with respect to a chopper drum 3, in particular for adjusting the counterknife 11 of the chopper unit 1 by means of the countercutting device 10.
The inventive method comprises at least the steps: releasing a clamping connection of the counter-blade 11 with the provided with respect to the chopper drum 3 positioning the counter-blade 11 support device 20; Adjusting a position of the counterknife 11 with respect to the chopper drum 3; and restoring the clamping connection of the counter-blade 11 to the support device 20.
Preferably, the loosening and restoring the clamping connection of the counter-blade 11 at a position between the two opposite longitudinal ends 11.1, 11.2 of the counter-blade 11, in particular at a central position between the longitudinal ends 11.1, 11.2 of the counter-blade 11, performed.

1.
